Here’s how our Reunion Photography works…

- A $20 non-refundable PayPal deposit (see below) secures the date and time of your event photography. Please book well in advance. Specify whether the event entails the creation of one group photo or multiple groupings so we can prepare accordingly. Some groups prefer to have a photo of just the graduates (photo A) and an additional one with everyone in attendance at the event, such as spouses or those who were longtime classmates but did not technically graduate together (photo B).
- We recommend that you schedule the group photo outdoors in adequate daylight (weather permitting) in an area with a hill or sloped surface for the best results.
- Please stress to everyone the importance of being on time if they want to be in the photo. Also, please instruct them to continue looking into the camera for multiple exposures rather than looking away (to minimize the post work you see above).
- We realize that some attending may wish to take photos with their own automatic cameras rather than buying our photo. This is understandable. We just ask that they wait until we’ve gotten our series of photos so they do not interfere with our lights, which are set to OUR camera settings and may wash out their snapshots.
- Steven will sell one (1) color 8×10 group photograph for $20 each. This will cover printing and handling costs. The client who calls Steven to photograph the event and has paid the PayPal deposit does NOT pay additionally.
- Blank 8.5×11 envelopes and Sharpie markers will be available for those making a purchase to self-address the envelope and enclose $20 cash or a personal check (Do NOT seal the envelope, as the resulting photo will be later inserted for direct mailing to the customer).
- We stay at your event for up to thirty (30) minutes to allow everyone a chance to place an order, but inevitably, there is always someone who waits until after we’ve left to let us know they want to purchase one of the group photos. For this reason, we routinely wait a week to begin processing the photo. They may place their order during that time by sending an email to stevenstiefel@me.com or by calling (256) 996-1813 to let us know they are putting cash or a personal check in the mail the same or next day. No envelope will be addressed or photo sent until we have receipt of the late order’s money.
- The print(s) arrive at the customer’s specified address in 4-6 weeks. Possibly sooner, but we’d rather not promise this because we must budget time for processing, printing, and the speed of the Postal Service under seasonal weather conditions.
