Environmental Portraiture

Put simply, “environmental portraiture”  is photography of individuals or groups of people created inside a home, office or outdoors (weather permitting). Steven Stiefel brings his lighting to you and makes your portrait truly unique, personalized with places of your choice that are eye-catching or have special significance.

Environmental portraits are great for:

We incorporate the natural beauty of the area to create portraits that are one-of-a-kind.

Cost is $125* up to one hour of shooting time at one location, including the deposit to book the photo shoot. Includes basic retouching of 5 high resolution JPEG files (web-ready or suitable for printing) of your choice to remove blemishes and enhance the eyes. Does not include any prints, which are available at an additional price.

We can drive to your location for an additional 51-cents per mile, round trip. This is the 2011 standard mileage rate.

Because outdoor environmental portraiture often depends on having favorable weather conditions and lighting, our ability to create your images is conditional as such. If you book a photo shoot on a particular date and it rains, we can reschedule to another date and apply your prepaid deposit to that.  We do not schedule any outdoor portraits between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. because the lighting during this time is not accommodating to the best results unless the sky is overcast.

* A $30 deposit made via Paypal is required to reserve your environmental photography session time. This deposit is non-refundable if the appointment is cancelled with less than 1-day notice or if you are more than 1/2 hour late. Otherwise the deposit will be applied and deducted from the session fee. Remainder of session fee is due at the time of the photo shoot.
